Music Department

Chorus

The mixed chorus is open to student singers in grades 9-12. Fundamentals of music, vocal technique, sight reading and theory will be studies and practiced. Singers will be tested and graded on music skills and improvement. Members are required to attend after school concerts and performances (2 per semester). There are opportunities for solos and small group performances within chorus.

Band

This is the instrumental music education program of the high school. The goal of the program is to develop musical achievement through a comprehensive curriculum, in keeping with each student’s interests, needs and abilities. The curriculum allows students to advance in music theory as well as performance skills. The band performs for concerts, pep assemblies, varsity football and basketball games and parades. Opportunities are provided for solos and ensembles.
