SPECIAL EDUCATION ASSISTANT
The Ishpeming School District announces an employment
vacancy for a Special Education Assistant (K-12). This is a
part-time (approximately six hours per day) school year position with
some summer hours. Applicants must posses a minimum of a high
school diploma and excellent computer skills including word processing,
spreadsheets, database, email, and web based applications and reports.
Applicants must be available during the time when school is not in
session for students and applicants must be available for additional
hours as assigned or needed.
Applicants must possess the ability to arrange for
special education documentation, including referral documents, test
information, student records, and IEPC documents. Applicants must
posses excellent organizational skills. Applicants must be self
directed. Applicants must posses the ability to attend to
meticulous detail. Applicants must possess the interpersonal
skills necessary to work productively with parents, teachers, and staff.
Applicants must possess the computer ability to manage a student
database.
Applicants must be able to meet the performance
responsibilities as stated in the job description.
The Board of Education may employ an individual with
such alternative qualifications that the Board may find to be acceptable
and appropriate.
