TEACHER OF SPEECH AND LANGUAGE IMPAIRED ECDD-12

The Ishpeming School District announces a vacancy for a full-time teacher of speech and language impaired with ECDD-12 responsibilities.  Applicants must possess a B.A./B.S. degree and an M.A./M.S. degree in speech and language pathology.  Applicants must possess appropriate Michigan certification and endorsements.  Applicants must meet the qualifications as stated in R349.1796 of the Michigan Revised Administrative Rules for Special Education. 

Applicants must possess the ability to work with students at all school levels.  Applicants must possess the ability to work closely with faculty and staff.  Applicants must possess the ability to work with parents.  Applicants must be available for staff meetings, MET meetings, and IEPC meetings. 

Applicants must possess the ability to complete and submit all medicaid reports and records.  Applicants must be available for preschool and kindergarten screening.

Applicants must possess the ability to submit computerized electronic reports.

The Board of Education may employ an individual with such alternative qualifications that the Board determines to be acceptable and appropriate.
